Premier and the Alliant lawsuits: where the record stands

Two federal cases and an arbitration, all on hold while the parties negotiate. The next report to the court is due by November 30. Here is what has been decided, what has not, and what each side has said.
Premier, Inc. ⚖️ is a defendant in two cases brought by Alliant Purchasing, LLC ⚖️ in the United States District Court for the Western District of Kentucky. Its operating subsidiary, Premier Healthcare Alliance, L.P. (a Premier, Inc. entity), is a respondent in a related arbitration before the American Arbitration Association. This account is drawn from the public docket as of September 18, 2026. Allegations are Alliant's, defenses are the defendants', and no court has ruled on the merits of any claim.
Both cases have been stayed since May 20, 2026, "pending further order of the Court," at the parties' joint request, to allow settlement discussions. (00006 R.70; 00719 R.60.) On September 3 the court ordered the parties to file a joint status report by no later than November 30, 2026, or within five days of the completion or failure of settlement negotiations, whichever occurs first. (00006 R.75; 00719 R.65.) In the second case the court also ordered that the Agreed Status Quo Orders remain in effect while the parties are in settlement negotiations. (00719 R.65.)
